Brook Trout Fishing

Dave offers trips for brook trout as well. Most of the waters in the St. John Valley and North Maine Woods contain Native brook trout. These are not stocked fish! Fishing can be on moving waters or ponds and lakes, it is the client’s choice.

Half-day trip for brook trout. $300.00 for one or two people

Leave Fort Kent in the morning or evening and spend time on one of our local ponds fishing for brook trout. Please inform us as to your preference of tackle you will be bringing and also if you would like to be able to keep some fish for a meal.

Full-day of fishing for brook trout behind the North Maine Woods Gates. $400 for up to three fishermen.

Leave Fort Kent in the morning. Head into the North Maine Woods and fish any number of streams and brooks for native brookies. Enjoy a streamside breakfast and lunch. One of the meals can include fresh caught trout if you desire. Dave has some waters that will only see him fishing during the course of the year. This is small water wade fishing and great for kids or kids at heart. The fish are not big but they are eager!

Nomadic Campout Brook Trout Excursion. $625 per person.

Leave Fort Kent in the morning. Head into the North Maine Woods. Fishing will be done on ponds or moving waters. We fish ponds and lakes with our 20 foot Two Rivers Scott Canoe.

Campout that night after a day of fishing. We will fish our way back out the next day. Enjoy two full days of fishing, all meals and snacks. Dave cooks over an open fire and meals of fresh caught trout are a specialty if you so desire.

All camping gear is provided except sleeping bags. This trip has no designed schedule unless the angler wants to fish a particular body of water. It’s a go where the fishing is best trip!

We do offer a chance for anglers to catch the rare Blue Back Trout (Landlocked Artic Char) on this trip if that is on your bucket list! All tackle types can be accommodated. Kids and Kids-at-heart welcome and encouraged. We can handle up to six anglers on this trip, two anglers per canoe.

Additional nights of camping and fishing are $300.00 per person.

Not included in the pricing of these trips are North Maine Woods Gate and Camping fees.
