Moose hunting is our passion. We live for the moose hunt each year. Dave is one of the best known moose guides and callers in Maine, Canada and Europe. He learned calling from his Great-grandfather. Today Dave is known as the top expert on moose language, having studied under the late Maryo Pepin. Dave is sought after as a seminar speaker on moose calling, moose hunting, moose behavior, and biology. Dave has taken the studies started by the late Maryo Pepin and expanded on them.

We offer fully guided hunts, do-it-yourself hunts, and semi-guided hunts with Lakeside Lodge on Long Lake and Wildcat Lodge. We offer many options for moose hunts in zones 1, 2, 3, and 6. We also offer outfitter recommendations for zones we do not hunt in.

For our Maine hunts we only take a maximum of three parties per week. All of the guides work as a team.

We can recommend hunts to moose hunters looking for Canadian, Alaskan, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Europe. We also put together group hunts that Linda and I will accompany you on.

Instructions for filling out Maine Moose Permit Drawing Application to hunt with Dave

• Fill out zones as follows: 1-2-3-6-11-4-5-7-10-19
• Check the box "I only want the zones indicated"
• Do not check the box "I will take any permit"
• Check the box " I want a bull permit only"
• Do not check the box that indicates you will take a November permit. (These are low harvest zones and they give you an entire month to hunt. Average success rate is 30%)

• If you draw in zones we do not have a camp in we can swap your permit for a permit in our zones. We do this through www.moosepermit.com run by our friend Steve Beckwith. All the swaps we have coordinated have been successful!
